Another great week for the real estate market. In the Minneapolis/St. Paul area over 800 homes sold in the past week. That is 20 weeks in a row! We are sure to slow down when the snow starts flying, but it is a great finish to 2012. With the crazy market we have had over the last few years, and market times out or the ordinary, December and January should remain strong.
In the western suburbs, we are seeing a more balanced market as inventory continues to decrease. Buyers are out there right now looking for the right home. In many price ranges, there is a shortage of quality homes.
New construction is coming back. Northwest Wayzata School District and all over Chanhassen, new homes are popping up and selling. The parade of homes this year is going to feature some amazing properties.
It is also great to hear about the huge $$ sales the past few weeks. The Greek mansion on Lake Minnetonka, a former hot property sold this week, adding to the large total $2M+ sales on the lake and we sold our beautiful listing in Chimo on the lake in Deephaven. Only 2 days on the market!!
